UCA women in first

MURRAY, Ky. — Senior Christina Lecuyer led the University of Central Arkansas women’s golf team into first place after Monday’s (March 5) first round of the Lady Racer Classic, hosted by Murray State at Miller Memorial Golf Club.
UCA shot a 316 to lead Tennessee Tech by three strokes. Indiana State University is third at 328, followed by Butler University at 330, Murray State at 334, Rend Lake Community College at 355. In seventh place is Tennessee Tech at 367, followed by Chicago State (406),
Lecuyer, a senior from Edmonton, Alberta, shot a 38-38 — 76 and had the overall lead after the first round. Rebecca Sorenson shot 39-39 — 78 and is in third place individually. Nicole Forshner is tied for fourth place with a 38-41 — 79, while Sanna Vihervaara is tied for 15th at 42-41— 83.
Jessica Ross shot 40-47 — 87 and is tied for 28th.
