CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas tennis team fell to Southland Conference foe Nicholls State 7-0 at UCA Courts on Saturday (March 17). The Sugar Bears fall to 2-8 overall and 1-3 in league play, while Colonels improve to 5-4 and 2-1.

NSU opened the match by sweeping through doubles. The closest match-up was in number three where Nicole September and Sanja Stanojcic defeated junior Charissa Colclough and sophomore Rebecca McCullough 8-5.

In number one singles, UCA's freshman Petra Keilova fell to Celine Stenger 6-3, 7-5. Sophomore Rebecca Miller lost Adeline Vallet 7-6, 6-1 at number three singles. In number six singles, McCullough lost to September 4-6, 6-1 (10-4).

The Sugar Bears will host Southeastern Louisiana at noon on Sunday.
