CONWAY — Eleven University of Central Arkansas Bears worked out for a group of National Football League scouts on Thursday at Estes Stadium.

Scouts from eight NFL teams put the Bears through drills, including the 40-yard dash, shuttle drills, vertical and broad jumping and bench press.

Participants for UCA included wide receivers Aaron Fairooz and Cameron Kinard, defensive ends Jeremy Pittman and Lawrence Atkinson, defensive backs Jasper Johnson, Ahmad Brown and Olen Whitely, linebackers Ryan Taylor and Calvin Dumas and offensive linemen Justin Jones and Ronnie Lee.

Fairooz, a record-setting receiver for the Bears, and All-American defensive end Jacob Ford were both invited to and participated in the NFL Combine two weeks ago. Ford did not work out on Thursday.

The Bears finished 8-3 and were ranked No. 24 in the nation in their first season in NCAA Division I.
